The Yorkshire Ladies Football Club

Bradford, 1917. Spirited Hattie Braithwaite divides her days between tending to her demanding father and working at Joshua Swainbank's struggling woollen mill, now turned over to the war effort. But when Maggie Flemming, an avid football fan who is not at all ladylike in her ways, comes to work at the mill, the pair soon bond over their shared love of the game. When Joshua forms a ladies football to raise morale and funds for the troops, The Yorkshire Ladies Football Club is born. With fearless goalkeeper Maggie and gifted striker Hattie leading the charge, the team captures hearts across the country. Yet as the crowds grow, so do Hattie's feelings for Joshua. Will her love be returned? Will The Yorkshire Ladies Football Team continue season upon season? Or will it all just end in tears for these brave Yorkshire Women?
