Sam Raimi directs this fantasy adventure which serves as a prequel to 'The Wizard of Oz' (1939). When con artist and circus magician Oscar Diggs (James Franco) is transported to Oz after his hot air balloon is caught in a tornado, his life changes forever. As he becomes embroiled in the lives and schemes of three witches - Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams) - can he realise his true potential and achieve greatness beyond his imagination?
