'Kintsugi' is a Japanese craft that uses a mixture of resin and precious metals to repair broken ceramic objects. After the fragments are joined, the cracks become unique features, giving the object a new life. But what if it is a person, a family, or even... a heart that is broken? Could we - also be 'Kintsugi'? The book depicts a rabbit and a red bird about to have a delightful tea party reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland, with a forest of beautiful and joyful everyday things growing on the long table. However, the red bird's colors fade, turning pale white, and the bird turns and flies away. With the bird's departure, the rabbit's daily life begins to fall apart, and its former happiness shatters. The rabbit clung tightly to a small green leaf, trying to catch up with a bird. It ran and stumbled across the grass, encountering a giant white horse; it ventured into dense, thorny bushes, rowed across a lagoon, and dived underwater... No matter how vibrant the world it entered, things in the corners always began to turn white, and death was a constant companion... Finally, with tears in its eyes, the rabbit returned to where it started. Holding a broken teacup, it looked at the devastated landscape before it, the whole world wounded. It thought for a moment and decided... Winner of the 2024 Bologna Children's Book Fair/Lagarz Prize in the Fiction category.
